Westside Veterinary Hospital in Dallas has been closed following an investigation by the Dallas County Department of Health and Human Services.
The agency announced the closure Friday.
The agency said in a statement that the department received information from the Dallas-based Veterinary Medical Services of Texas that the facility was not in compliance with state and federal requirements for veterinary facilities.
The statement said the state and agency are cooperating with the agency to address the issues.
The Dallas County DHS said it was notified of the closure on Tuesday.
The hospital had been operating in a temporary, emergency care facility since December of last year.
The county’s Animal Services and Animal Health Division investigated the allegations in December, but determined there was no reason to revoke its license.
The state also has not yet issued a license to the veterinary hospital in the city of Frisco.
